one thing thats annoys me is the character designs coming out of Final Fantasy as of late (oh he says bad things about final fantasy!) with the newest screens hitting rock bottom.

once upon a time we had fantastic, iconic designs like Cloud and Sephiroth, instantly recognizable as Final Fantasy, invoking all sorts of memories of Final fantasy 7 and wasted weeks/months that came with it.
It wasn't just 7 either, most Final Fantasy (square games in general) had fantastic designs that you knew just by looking at where Square-enix RPG characters.

Fast forward to 2010 and the new wave of protagonist are not quite so iconic, this screen is taken from the new Final Fantasy XIII VS title and minus the guy at the front they look like are advertising the Gap's new summer range.
